Aegis Authenticator is a free, open source 2FA app that stores and manages one-time passwords for two-step verification across thousands of online services. It supports industry-standard HOTP and TOTP algorithms, making it compatible with any service that works with Google Authenticator. All tokens are encrypted in a vault that can be unlocked with a password or biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock). The app includes organization features like custom icons, search by account or service name, and custom grouping; automatic backups to cloud storage via Storage Access Framework (like Nextcloud); and the ability to import entries from Authenticator Plus, Authy, andOTP, FreeOTP, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Steam, and WinAuth.
